Weight Cutting Recipe – My Favorite Green Smoothie

As a Taekwondo athlete, I often have to cut off a few pounds in order to make weight for competitions. Weight cutting can be a frustrating experience if it’s not done correctly. I hate seeing athletes starve themselves or try out crazy, unhealthy diets just to make weight. Because of this, I thought I’d share my favorite weight-cutting recipes that help me lose weight and stay healthy & strong for Fight Day!

Pear Oatmeal Smoothie Recipe

I know green smoothies sound disgusting, but this smoothie is seriously my all-time favorite!! You barely even realize there’s anything green in here at all. Try it and let me know what you think

What you need:

1 Pear

1/2 Cup of Oatmeal

1 Cup of Almond Milk

Handful of Spinach

Honey (To Taste)

Directions:

This recipe is SO easy! All you have to do is:

1- Cut the pear into small pieces.

2- Fill a blender with the spinach, oats, almond milk, pear, and honey.

3- Blend until it looks like a smoothie.

4- Taste it, add more honey if you want it a little sweeter 🙂 Enjoy!

This is a great morning smoothie or snack- even if you’re not weight cutting! If you know me, you know I take food & eating very seriously– I eat 24/7 hahaha! I really believe we can all make small changes toward eating healthier, and you don’t have to suffer eating weird foods. Also- you don’t have to eat like this 100% of the time, I definitely eat yummy desserts (I LOVE ice cream)– it just has to all be in balance. Leave me a comment if you tried this recipe or want more. After cutting weight for the past few years, I’ve grown a huge collection 🙂
